McKenzie County desired a new location for the McKenzie County Fair and a new Ag Expo building that would not only house fairground activities but serve a variety of community needs on a year-round basis. The County found a gap in the ability to provide an all-seasons building that could accommodate students and other user groups and their events, shows, educational activities, and more. The facility is intended to adapt to the various user groups in the McKenzie County region. Because of this, it was important to ensure all stakeholders and user groups had a voice in the design development of the building. ICON, in partnership with other consultants, were able to lead meetings in which everyone shared their thoughts and ideas for the new space.
